London Broil and Brownie Goo
It all started with London broil and brownie goo. We were camping with our families at Detroit Lake, Oregon - yes, Divas camp! For an after dinner treat, we decided to bake a batch of brownies, cooking them in a foil pan over the open fire. We knew the brownies wouldn't bake like they did in an oven, but the smoky, warm dough was supposed to get crusty on the bottom from the direct flame-to-pan contact and set in the center enough so that we could cut and serve it to our fellow campers.

It didn't. It began to burn on the bottom and stayed gooey on the top. But the smell was overwhelmingly enticing, so we began to dip things into the half-baked batter.

We started with the obvious - cookies, marshmallows, slices of fruit.

Soon tiring of the ordinary, we began to brainstorm - what else we could use to scoop up the fire-roasted brownie. Tortilla chips...excellent! The salt and sweet, the undercooked cookie and the crunchy-snap of the chip made for a savory combination.

We looked around the campsite. What else could we try? Lettuce from the salad? Tasty. The cool watery leafs were ideal wraps for the gooey filling. Potatoes that had been wrapped in foil and baked in the coals? The spud's buttery earthiness complemented the charcoaled sweetness of the melting brownie. The London broil we'd grilled as our entree? Could it be done? Had we found the line that shouldn't be crossed?

We exchanged that look … I'll try it, if you try it.

Oh goodness!

It was excellent! The juices of the charred meat melded perfectly with the thick, chocolate goo.

The theory we'd long espoused in jest was true … Chocolate could - and should - be eaten with anything.

So why wasn't it? We knew we weren't the only chocolate lovers in the world. Why were the only chocolate products we could find on store shelves related to dessert? Not that we don't indulge in chocolate sweets, but there was a whole undiscovered world of chocolate eats out there. We answered our own questions quickly. Only true chocolate lovers would ever dream of eating a chocolate steak.

So, we developed a line of grilling rubs for beef, poultry and pork, toppings for salads and vegetables, and a unique assortment of hot chocolates - unlike anything you may have tasted before.

Diva Chocolate products are sure to enrapture both chocolate lovers and those who only occasionally indulge.
